The Creative Industries Development Center

  • Development Center Murska Sobota (Slovenia)

Project Duration: 24 months

Project Objective: The aim of the project is to support individuals in developing their creativity and entrepreneurial skills through project activities, enabling them to monetize their creative activities. This project will strengthen the creative industries in the region through education, human resource development, fostering collaboration among project stakeholders, encouraging innovation, and creating new job opportunities.

Project Focus: The project targets three creative industries:

  1. Sustainable Cultural Tourism
  2. Fashion and Design
  3. Artistic Crafts

Each partner will organize and implement activities related to the creative sector they are responsible for:

  • The Development Center Murska Sobota from Slovenia will oversee all activities related to sustainable cultural tourism.
  • Environmental Protection Engineers from Serbia, in collaboration with the Craftsmen Association, will organize activities related to artistic crafts.
  • The Center for Lifelong Learning and Culture Bjelovar will organize all activities related to fashion and design.

Educational Component: The educational part of the project will be divided into three phases:

  1. Education and workshops on entrepreneurship, marketing, and finance.
  2. Education and workshops to foster creativity and idea generation, specifically tailored to the three creative sectors covered by this project.
  3. Mobility: Each partner will organize education, workshops, and practical exercises in one of the sectors, which will be conducted in the partner country.

The first two phases will primarily take place online.

Additional Activities: Besides education, participants will take part in fairs and/or exhibitions where they will showcase their creative work. Each partner will gather at least 15 participants.

Project Impact: The goal of this project is to educate at least 45 individuals in the field of creative industries, enabling them to apply the acquired knowledge to their creative work and support their professional development.
