From February 26 to 28, 2024, Novi Sad hosted the partner meeting of the “Creative Industries Development Center” (KUL) project, co-financed through the Creative Europe program. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Center for Lifelong Learning and Culture Bjelovar from Croatia, the Development Center Murska Sobota from Slovenia, and the hosts, representatives of Environmental Protection Engineers.
During the meeting, the details of the upcoming activities were discussed, and a plan for the next steps was developed, including a training program for new entrepreneurs in the fields of sustainable tourism, fashion and design, and traditional crafts. Forty-five new entrepreneurs will undergo an extensive training program and develop their business ideas. Afterward, they will have the opportunity to gain new experiences and knowledge through study visits to Slovenia and Croatia. As the culmination of the project, the new entrepreneurs will present their products and services at a fair in Bjelovar.
In addition to the working part of the meeting, participants visited the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, where they were welcomed by Mr. Zoran Trpovski, Secretary of the Industry Association, and Mr. Branislav Mamić, Secretary of the Services Association. The secretaries introduced them to the activities of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina and the possibilities for future collaboration and joint initiatives. After the meetings, the participants visited the Petrovaradin Fortress and the Museum of Novi Sad, where they gained a deeper understanding of the cultural and historical development of the city. A special impression was made by the exhibition dedicated to Mileva Marić Einstein.
The upcoming activities of the project include the announcement of a call for participation in entrepreneurial education in the field of creative industries, as well as the promotion of the call in Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia.
