Sustainable Fashion & Design Lecture Held as Part of the KUL Project

On May 20th, 2025, the KUL project hosted another inspiring online session in the Sustainable Fashion & Design module, uniting creative minds and professionals across borders in a shared commitment to eco-conscious design.

The lecture brought together participants from all three partner organizations:

  • 🇭🇷 CUK Bjelovar – Center for Lifelong Learning and Culture Bjelovar (Croatia)

  • 🇷🇸 Engineers for Environmental Protection Novi Sad (Serbia)

  • 🇸🇮 Development Center Murska Sobota (Slovenia)

This session was held in collaboration with Callegari – the Italian School of Fashion and Design, a renowned institution with extensive experience in sustainable and contemporary fashion education.

Focus on Sustainability and Innovation

The session explored current trends and practices in sustainable fashion, with a focus on:

  • Environmentally responsible textile production

  • Circular fashion concepts

  • The role of design in influencing consumption patterns

  • Creative reuse and upcycling in fashion

  • The future of fashion through the lens of sustainability and ethics

Participants had the opportunity to learn from experienced lecturers and exchange ideas on how fashion can become a force for environmental and social good.

The Sustainable Fashion & Design module is co-organized by CUK Bjelovar and Callegari, as part of the KUL project’s broader effort to promote lifelong learning, cross-border collaboration, and sustainable development within the creative and cultural industries.

What’s Next?

The final session of this module will take place on May 27th, 2025, and will continue to build on the themes of innovation, design responsibility, and ecological awareness in fashion.

All interested participants are encouraged to join and be part of this important conversation about the future of design and creativity.
